We can mail books and electronically deliver articles to Distance Learning students. Find out who qualifies on this page.

For eligible students, Access Services can retrieve library books that you wish to have shipped to you or scan and upload articles or book chapters to your ILLiad account. Requests for books and scans are usually processed within 48 hours. Books are delivered by Media Mail through the United States Postal Service and should arrive within 2-8 business days. A mailer, along with packing materials, is provided to return books. There is no charge for this service.

Who is eligible?

Distance Learning services are available to UNT or UNT Frisco students who meet the following requirements:

  • Live outside of the City of Denton AND
  • Currently enrolled in an online course and not attending a class that meets in Denton at least once a week OR
  • Active graduate students currently working on their thesis or dissertation

Books on Course Reserves or library use only items cannot be requested to be mailed. However, chapters or sections can be scanned and sent to your ILLiad account.
