The Music Library has recently made a set of cassettes from the Leon Breeden Collection available in the Digital Library. This set captures Breeden’s musical and personal life beyond the role everyone knows him in as director of the One O’Clock Lab Band. It has him playing in ensembles going back to the ‘50s, and it captures his personal network of fellow musicians, including Bill Collins, Jr. (the father of One O’Clock alum and UNT donor Bill Collins, III), and other fondly remembered names like Don Jacoby. It also captures a number of gigs at the one-of-a-kind Duck Inn.
