Mary K. Suhm is an Independent Project Manager and is the former Dallas City Manager. Mary has won numerous awards for her leadership in the public sector.

She started a three-decade career with the City of Dallas as a branch librarian and finished as its chief executive, managing about 13,000 employees and a budget of $3 billion. As city manager, Suhm focused on strategic investments, such as the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, the Pavaho Pump Station, and Klyde Warren Park, that enhanced the city’s cultural life and its tax base.

She is an independent consultant and serves on several local boards, including the Dallas Historical Society, The Friends of the Texas Historical Commission, and Every Avenue. She is also a certified Texas Master Naturalist.

Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Education from Lamar University, her Master of Library Science and Master of Business Administration from the University of North Texas.
